Robert E. Cupp

Bob CuppRobert E. Cupp, Golf World's first ever "Designer of the Year" is the designer of the 18-hole championship golf course at Four Bridges. Cupp has been involved in the development of over 150 courses world-wide, many as Jack Nicklaus' senior designer for over 14 years. Currently, Cupp operates his own golf course design company, Cupp Design, Inc.

Honored with many prestigious awards for his work, Cupp's long list of achievements include "Best Public Course" and "Second Best Private Course" for his 36-hole facility at Pumpkin Ridge in Portland, Oregon, and "Best New Resort Course" with Western Gales in Detroit, and Crosswater at Sunriver in central Oregon. The Pumpkin Ridge facility hosted both the 1996 U.S. Amateur Championship and the 1997 U.S. Women's Open.

Cupp sums up his creation at Four Bridges in these words: "This is a course for all players and a track that will never bore. Members will enjoy playing it time after time... in short, the ideal private golf course."
